- HF radio / long distance (ideal for a comms link between checkpoints in hilly areas)
- High performance antenna options for each type of radio
We can also monitor the 406mHz band in case of distress beacon activation on the course (either EPIRB or PLB). If this occurs we liaise with police and the Rescue Coordination Centre in Canberra.
For large jobs we bring our own radio technician.
INCIDENT LOGGING
All first aid staff keep written records of incidents. This promotes the best possible patient care and offers protection to event organisers for serious medical cases.
QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED
Our first aiders are wilderness, remote or senior qualified depending on what it required. Paramedics are available for some jobs. Most of our first aiders are also qualified remote area and roping guides and as such are experienced in caring for patients in remote areas and/or for extended duration. We can supply whitewater rescue-qualified first aiders and ski/snow-qualified first aiders if required.
