Blue Mountains Climber's Rescue Group

Photos - Practice Day 11/9/01 - Boars Head Rock

There are 7 photos in this set which will take a few moments to load.......

Patient and litter attendant on the tyrollean traverse, note the double span ropes, the generous sag and the belay ropes from both ends.

Matt U'Brien and Alli Pepper (in litter) approaching the top end of the tyrollean traverse. Note the patient's fingers curled over the outer edge of the litter - very naughty!

The rigging plate which formed the main anchor on the cliff top for hauling operations and the tyrollean. Extension slings are used to stagger the various operators to give working room.

Belayers and haul team. Note the Larkin in use as a static tripod.

Haulers using a 5:1 ratio. The rescue line is slack in this pic which was "staged" during a break in operations! Normally all slack is removed from the rescue line during hauling.

The team during the refresher scenario which was a simple lift of 20 metres on a near vertical cliff.

Stokes and attendant nearing the top of the cliff during the simple practice lift. Note the two people positioned on the edge to help clear the top cliff edge.
