For low-key or private trips we can prepare simple, informal advice and back-up plans.


For official trips or anyone needing formal documentation we can prepare a fully documented safety plan, risk management and emergency plan. These documents are prepared to comply with AS NZS ISO 31000-2009 Risk Management. Lucas is a member of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia.

BACK UP CONTACT FOR REMOTE TRIPS

We offer a back-up contact service if you venture into remote areas. By keeping in touch and monitoring your trip we can step in to help if you request it. With reliable communications in place and computer mapping to track your whereabouts we can work in our office to arrange whatever help you need. With our experience in remote areas and our extensive contacts in the outback we are well placed to assist.

PAST WORK

  • Safety advice, emergency plans, paramedics and first aid crews for team and running events including Wild Endurance and North Face 100.
  • Back up and safety crew for team of five on a 240km trek through the centre of the Simpson Desert to Poeppell Corner.
  • Support and safety crew for 15-day multiple marathon runners trip from the Lambert Centre (NT) to Birdsville (Qld) 640km including across the Simpson Desert.
  • Back up vehicle and walking guide for 10 walkers on a 120km trip pulling desert carts in the Simpson Desert (Poeppell Corner to Big Red).
  • Safety advice and risk management plans for private school outdoor education program and school excursion documentation.
  • Risk management plan for use of artificial climbing wall.
  • Risk management and safety consulting to Coastrek 2012.
  • Safety audit and inspection of challenge facilities including high ropes courses, artificial climbing walls, giant swings etc.

QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED

Our key staff have a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation, are qualified in risk assessment and management, emergency response, rescue, radio communications, evacuation and first aid. Lucas Trihey is a member of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia.
