Climbing Wall For Sale

The fittings to construct both the Escalade 99 climbing walls are for sale. They are for sale as one lot - we won't be selling seperate components.

These walls were built of 19mm plywood to fit on a standard 50mm scaffold framework. This system can be used to make a wall of almost any shape. The fittings on this list will act as the interface to connect the ply sheets to a standard 50mm scaffold framework. The system is very simple, versatile, strong and cheap.

The Escalade walls comprised 54 sheets of plywood and made two walls each being 4.8 metres wide and offering roughly 15m of climbing height. In total this is approximately 150 square metres of wall.

The wall was engineered to meet all relevant Australian and international standards.

A full set of plans, engineers correspondence and specifications can be supplied to the purchaser.

Scaffold, plywood and T-nuts are not included (specifications and plans can be supplied).

What's included:

• 267 X Saddle brackets. Galvanised.
• 269 X Cup head bolts with nuts (90mm X 3/8") (with 46 extra bolts) Galvanised.
• 180 X wood block spacers to go between saddles and ply sheet. These comprise 2 blocks of 19mm ply fastened together and pre-drilled with holes.
• 24 X Bolts with nuts for lead bolt anchors (8.8mm)(and 5 additional bolts)
• 23 X bolt brackets (90 degree) for lead bolts (adjusted to fit the 8.8mm bolts).
• 14 X strengthening plates for load spreading for lead bolts where they pass thru the ply.
• 359 X bolts (3/8") for plastic holds (allen key type heads) assorted sizes.
• 20 X "O"-shaped protectors for counterweight 11mm wire ropes. These items provide a large radius for the points where the wire rope bends around the scaffold frame to minimise damage to the wire rope.
• 12 X Wire rope grips for counterweight 11mm wire rope
• Hold tools - 1 X 5/16" and 1 X 7/32"

This table shows approx retail values of all components. Labour cost of cutting, drilling and assembling special items such as wood blocks and mild steel angles has not been included.
